Southern Oregon seen a lot of rain during the last two weeks of January which put a lot of fishing guides like myself on the couch and off the river. However, now that the water is finally dropping the fishing has been very good in the month of February. All of the rivers are full of winter steelhead that haven't seen a lot of fishing pressure due to the high water in past weeks. The Umpqua, Chetco and Coquille Rivers are all fishing great. It's a good time to think about reserving your dates because my calendar is filling up fast in February and March, which are peak steelhead months.
