A King Salmon fishing trip on Oregon's Rogue River will be a good choice when deciding where you'll take your next adventure. One of the most stunning rivers on the West Coast; the Rogue has something to offer to every type of angler.
We start this amazing year-round fishery from January through April targeting big Winter Steelhead. We then turn our efforts to Spring "King" Salmon in May and continue to have success throughout July. By then, good numbers of Summer Steelhead are making their way into the Upper Rogue River. "Summer Steelhead" really keep us busy because they'll continue to run all the way through December. In August, we have trophy Fall "King" Salmon that make their way upstream until the end of October. These highly sought after fish are the largest salmon that migrate up the Rogue, reaching weights of 50+ pounds. Finally our Silver or "Coho" Salmon season begins in November and will continue throughout the month of December. Then we go right back to chasing Winter Steelhead again in January!
There is literally always something being caught here on the Rogue River and there are typically always multiple species of fish that can be had during a day of fishing with us.
AS FOR NOW, IN EARLY JUNE WE ARE STAYING PLENTY BUSY WITH BIG SPRING KING SALMON LIKE THE ONES SHOWN BELOW. THESE WERE CAUGHT BY MY CLIENT Barham Williams of Richmond, Virginia ON THE UPPER ROGUE RIVER ON JUNE 3RD, 2015.
