Guided salmon and steelhead fishing on Southern Oregon's Rogue, Umpqua and Chetco

Winter Steelhead Fishing Report - Chetco River in Brookings, Oregon - Rowdy Creek Derby Weekend

The Rowdy Creek Hatchery Steelhead Derby on Oregon's Chetco River and California's Smith River was a huge success in 2015. There were a lot of great guides and guests there for a good cause. People from all over the west coast came together to raise money for the Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery. If you're a guide or a eager angler and are interested in the 2016 derby then give us a call and we can point you in the right direction.

My guest Tim holds up a prime example of a Chetco River Winter Steelhead. This fish was the one that we landed out of a double hook-up that we had with just 15 minutes of fishing time left in the 2015 Rowdy Creek Derby.
I want to thank both of my guests Tim and Jeff for their time, energy and generosity during this derby.
Hope to see you again next year!
