Guided salmon and steelhead fishing on Southern Oregon's Rogue, Umpqua and Chetco

Fishing Near Medford, Oregon on the Rogue River - Guided Salmon & Steelhead Trips

The upper Rogue River is still producing plenty of hard fighting steelhead in mid April, 2014. The recent spike in the outflows from Lost Creek Lake should make for some excellent fishing to finish off the season at the end of this month. My nephew, daughter and fiancĂ© enjoyed a beautiful day on the upper Rogue today learning how to side drift for winter steelhead. My nephew Nick had success immediately, hooking a nice hatchery hen on his very first cast.
The first Spring Chinook made it to the holding bins at Cole Rivers Hatchery on 4/12/14. I'm not going to strictly target "Springers" until May, but I am bringing a back-bouncing rod in my boat on my steelhead trip tomorrow.
It's time to start thinking about booking your Spring Chinook trips for May, June and July.
Thanks, and we hope to see you on the river this season. (In Our Boat)
