The bite has been great in June for Spring Chinook Salmon on the Rogue River. With the recent removal of two dams on the upper river the fish are in better shape then they've ever been, despite having traveled 150 miles upstream. We have a very healthy fishery and even healthier fish; the ice cold water makes perfect conditions for these big salmon while migrating to their spawning grounds. Back-Bouncing eggs is the ticket to getting these fish to the boat but the plug bite is definitly turning on as the weather gets hotter.
June will continue to produce quality fish like these shown below!
