Guided salmon and steelhead fishing on Southern Oregon's Rogue, Umpqua and Chetco

Springer Season is in Full Swing on the Rogue River

Spring Chinook Salmon (Springers) are flooding up the Rogue River. I fished with my good friend Steven Theel on may 1st and we picked up my first one of the year. It was caught on finely cured Pautzke Borax O Fire eggs and released to spawn this fall. It was a beautiful specimen and put up a hell of a fight.
Last year we didn't get out first "Springer" until May 15th which tells me it's going to be an excellent year. As of today, there are already just under 650 spring chinook to the hatchery.
Now is the time to book your Spring Chinook trip; if you're interested in fishing with me on the upper Rogue River for some of the best eating fish in the world, then give me a call at (541) 613 8754 or email me at
Thanks and we'll see you on the river this season!
