Guided salmon and steelhead fishing on Southern Oregon's Rogue, Umpqua and Chetco

SALMON ARE BITING ON THE UPPER ROGUE RIVER IN JUNE 2014 - FALL KINGS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER IN AUGUST

Barry and Curt Richards came out for a trip on the upper Rogue River to target the elusive Spring Chinook Salmon. Barry did a great job back-bouncing up some nice fish and got great hook sets on both of his solid bites. We unfortunately lost both of those fish at the boat. Sometimes the fish just get away! "That's why they call it fishing and not catching." Both of the gentlemen did great learning the hands-on technique of bottom-bouncing. Curt got a nice bite in the early morning hours and put the wood to that fish...just like you're supposed to do! We fought it on down through the hole and eventually it hit the bottom of the net. We held it up for a quick picture and released the big wild fish unharmed back into the green Rogue River.
I appreciate your time guys, and had a blast getting to know you while we hooked into some very nice salmon. I hope to see you next year!
